Dear lovely family and friends,
Please think about sponsoring me for a day of my trip. I am funding the whole visit myself and could really benefit from some extra fundraising support and would love to be able to donate some money to the charity and schools I work with.

You can sponsor me for a day for just £25.00 or please feel free to just give whatever you can afford. Choose your favourite date below and set me a challenge to complete on that day. It could be something I have do with the children I am working with or a photo I need to take, for example on the 1st November I will be talking about Canada to the children on behalf of the awesome Elspeth Arkell.

More about my trip

Hey all thought I would fill you in about more about my trip.

I will spending about half my time in the wonderful country of Zambia and half my time in the beautiful Malawi. I will be visiting a variety of urban and rural schools to work with small groups of children to develop their interest and love for reading.

Through the project we are able to return to the same schools a number of times to begin to build relationships and see the progress the children are making.

Class sizes in these countries can be up to 200 children to 1 teacher and therefore giving the children an opportunity to work in small group with an adult can really make a difference to their education.

My adventure

In August I am off to volunteer for a fantastic charity called The Book Bus. We will working with schools in Zambia and Malawi to develop children's reading skills and promote books and literacy.
